Written at somebody else's request, this piece captures both the deep loss and grateful celebration held in heart at the time of bereavement. A melancholic solo piano gives way to a joyful dialogue between cello and viola, before opening up a running cascade of happy memories; the music then comes full circle to a quietly reflective ending.
