In some ways my entire musical career has been building to this recording. Drawing from my roots in Gospel music and hymnody and my professional career as a classical musician, this project attempts to meld all the different types of music I love into a cohesive whole. As a person of faith, I was drawn to these lyrics that express, in an honest way, the struggle to find meaning through life’s inevitable conflicts. The title song is meant to honor all those in the military who bravely risk their lives for the freedoms and values we cherish
