EXPEDITION is the forum for singer/songwriter Brad Surovec. On his Smokehouse label debut, "Journey To A Whole New World", he and his bandmates take the listener through a musical adventure that offers both soft acoustic excursions and intricate, electric-driven joy rides. The CD's message is singularly one of hope and redemption and tracks like "Tell Me" and "I Will Give You Rest" exemplify that in a contemporary, radio-friendly fashion. At times showing influences that include artists like Yes and Genesis, Brad's song structures are at the same time familiar and refreshing. It is his vocal presence, however, that takes this recording to a level of prominence. The distinctive quality he possesses is enhanced by the stories that he presents with all of his heart.
