简介

DeMarcus Gordon (Mac Gordon) was born March 6th 1979 in Canton, Ohio. At the age of 4, my mother moved me and my sister down south to Georgia and then to Mississippi. I lived a hard life growing up in Mississippi. At the age of 9 I started to have a passion to write music, but drawing and painting was my first love. From the age of 12 – 17 I lived in Senatobia, Mississippi where I got with a group of guys from the hood. We called ourselves G-Brothaz. We bussed all types of flows on the corner in the projects and at all the parties. It was all about being a gangsta at that time but things changed in my 12th grade year of high school. I moved to California to live with my older brother (Dangle). He was doing music at the time and was digging my down south flow so he put me in the rap group with him and his partners which was called Deadly Threatz. We dropped a demo and did a big show at Victor Valley High School and did some more shows around that area in 1996 and 1997. In the middle of 1997 after I graduated from high school I moved back down south to Memphis, Tennessee. I clicked up with some old friends (Tha J and Big 6ix) and they started a record label called Hid-N-Black Records. I rapped with them for a few years and we did a lot of big shows around the Memphis area and in Mississippi. We opened up for Lil Wayne at Dreamland in Holly Springs, Mississippi. We did some listening parties at Tower Records and Spin Street. We also did shows with Gangsta Blac, and Playa Fly at car shows. At times we would go to perform at spots like Wing City, The G-Spot, the Bee Hive and other bar and grills. I also appeared in Tha J’s video “Somebody Holla Dirty” and I also appeared in an R&B video with Duane Scott called “New Luv”. After a while I started my career as a solo artist and dropped my first album in the streets called “My 3rd Eye” back in 2002. “My 3rd Eye” was a hip-hop gospel album. I pressed up my own Cds at home and drew my own album cover. I pressed up hundreds of Cds and sold them in the streets. I also gave away a lot of Cds just to get my name out there. I’ve also put my own clothing designs on T-shirts and sold them in the streets. By 2005, I was ready for another change in my life so I did a demo for my new album called “To Tha Fullest/The Invisible”. I wanted people to know that my relationship with Jesus Christ was something serious. In May 2005, I went to Atlanta, Georgia. I met Ciara and Common at the Vibe Fest and I also had a small talk with Trey Songz. While I was in Atlanta, I enjoyed performing at the Apache Café and D’Jango with Haziq. After I came back home, I did a half-page article in the Street Master’s magazine in late 2005 and I started back working on the album. A lot of obstacles tried to get in my way but God made it happen and I finally got the album professionally done in 2008. I’ve performed at a lot of churches in the Memphis area, especially at my own church, Cummings Street Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor Gary L. Faulkner). He has always supported me with everything I been trying to do at the church. He’s one of the best. This album was officially released by Demaculus Productions, my own independent record label but it wasn’t recorded in my studio. It was recorded at Noyo Bizniz Studio. Noyo produced most of the tracks on the album and I produced about 4 tracks. I do all my own writing and everything I talk about in my music is real, word for word. I got real personal on this album, really letting people know what kind of person I am. At the end of 2008, I shot my first video called “Mission”. That’s my first hit single. The video production was done by Tier Drop Media Group. She did a really good job on the production. Everything was going real good so I went back to Atlanta to do some more promotional networking and shows in April 2009. I found myself talking to Memphitz from The Deal on B.E.T at the celebrity car show in Memphis, Tennessee. That was a big opportunity. October 17th, 2009, was the date of my own listening party at Spin Street Memphis. In 2010, I’ll be releasing my hit singles for the next album. Get ready. I feel that my music has the power to change the world and it will.
