简介
One man wave of cinematic electronica from Northumbria. Has so far produced three full length albums. Whatever it means to Ace of Space it means capturing the moment, just like taking a photograph or snapshot, in musical terms. The three eclectic collections so far are a mixture of old school electronica and guitar instrumentals and atmospheric soundtrack work suitable for film, TV or radio. “…many would be expecting Flaming Lips style weirdary from Ace of Space and in a certain respect it is. It's oddball, fantastical, slightly prog, only it's electronica rather than psychedelic pop.” J.D. Manifesto Magazine 2010 on first LP ‘Cluster’ http://www.manifestosunderland.com “an absolutely lovely old school electronica sound” Rowley (DarkCompass). http://www.darkcompass.com “…sweeping cinematic visions, ranging from eclectic sixties chill-out tracks to racing, sci-fi nightmares, this record is a mesmerising collection of intricately plotted mini soundscapes.” Nic Wright, Manifesto Magazine web site on second LP ‘All of Yesterday's Tomorrows’. http://www.manifestosunderland.com Inluences: John Barry, Erik Satie, Durutti Column, Brian Willoughby, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Yello, The Associates, New Order, Barry Gray, Phillip Glass, Weave, Horse Wife, Kraftwerk
