简介
MISSION ZERO is frequently asked the same two questions: “Are you guys twins?” and “Where’s the rest of the band?” Creating lush, shiny indie pop that fills a room, siblings Chenot and David Keith (no, they’re not twins) start with massive percussion and haunting vocals and flesh out their sound with synth and guitar. The siblings have played all over the world separately and together, but found their true home up on stage together after forming MISSION ZERO in 2010. "People in Glass Yachts" marks the band’s third release, upon which the siblings write and play every sound (he: drums, djembe, bass, vocals, and programmed beats; she: lead vocals, guitar, piano and synths). PIGY continues the band's mission to create danceable indie pop with depth. "An avant-garde dance pop aesthetic of the 1980s... coupled with the punk passion of this century’s new wave revivalists... an exploration of dream pop" - PHILTHY MAG "The music they make is unusually wide-ranging...trance-inducing and heart-swelling. Chenot sounds like a more melodically interesting and disciplined version of Björk guesting on a Massive Attack song." - DAILY NUTMEG "Your new favorite band. The brother/sister electro-pop group is a showstopper... truly a class act with powerful lyrics and danceable beats. Chenot is giving the boys club a run for their money, with her sultry voice (think Phantogram meets Tori Amos), tall stiletto boots, and Jayne Mansfield meets Nico vibe." - GROOVE MAGAZINE "A spectacle of smart pop structure and electric/trance vibe. Anyone who is a fan of the boy/girl duo movement being populated by Cults, Matt and Kim, Sleigh Bells, or going as far back as The Eurythmics, would be well off adding [Mission Zero] to their collection and checking the duo out when they blow into town." - THE DELI
