Originally from Queens, New York but raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, Amaris Star is a new and upcoming Hip Hop and R&B artist as well as an established dancer/choreographer that now resides in Orlando, Florida. Focusing on saturating the music industry with that feel good 90's groove, while keeping it current with crazy production and catchy hooks, Amaris Star is ready to take over the airwaves. She's a fresh talent with a unique style and tone. Not only does she rap, but she sings as well. With a Jamaican background, Amaris Star also incorporates reggae into her music. In 2012, Amaris Star debuted her first mixtape entitled, “I’m A Star”, introducing the world to her cool vibes for the first time. Her smash hit, "The Hills" featuring Yung Bub, garnished great local attention. She also was a contestant in Orlando's "The Come Up" competition sponsored by FlyKid Studio, for up and coming local artist. As the only female competitor, she wowed the judges and gained respect for her skills from everyone within ear-shot. She also won the opportunity to be featured on the track with the winner of the competition and the established local artist. With beauty, talent, drive, and intelligence on her side; while always remembering to keep God first, Amaris Star has it all.
