Modular Yass steps beyond mainstream electronic music by exploring a wider spectrum of rhythms and sonic structures, following avant-garde ideas inspired by Yass, a subgenre of jazz created by Tymon Tymański and Jerzy Mazolewski in 1980s Poland. The opening series of releases, crafted by Maki Polne, embodies the essence of this new concept. Strongly influenced by Brian Eno's generative music, the FRMS series presents sound frames that function as a subtle backdrop to reality.
