The pHormula is a four man entourage of overeducated and overtime-working Hip Hop artists. They have one DJ, pHonics, and three emcees: pHilosopHy, Examine the Truth and AlpHamatic. The pHormula is self described as "Ear opening Hip Hop with enthralling lyrics over phenomenal beats which raises your fists, touches your heart and ignites your artistic passion." Their sound is catchy, but not commercial and conscientious, but not preachy. In a time when everybody is ready for a dramatic change, The pHormula strives to create a style that symbolizes the ancient law of originality. The pHormula has been doing shows in the Eugene/Portland, Oregon area for the past 5 years performing at every major venue in the area. They have opened for countless groups including KRS-1, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Atmosphere, Capadonna of Wu-Tang, Saul Williams, The Pharcyde, People Under the Stairs, The Game, Andre Nicotina and many other groups.
