There was even a song written from the things he overheard a couple discussing in the booth next to him at a Waffle House in Nashville at 2AM. "Like We Were Dating Again" was a song written when the lady was telling her spouse, "you don't ever kiss me like you used to", "you never do the things with me that you did before"...those things were transferred to Bob's napkin and transformed into the song. "Empty Place" was a great collaboration with Bob & his friend Brian Yost (another great songwriter). Bob & Brian had a monthly songwriting appointment to co-write. On this particular occasion, Brian said to Bob, "Hey Buddy, when I called you earlier to confirm we were still on, I asked you how you liked your new apartment now that you were divorced. You said to me, 'It's An Empty Place'". So Bob & Brian spent the new 4-5 hours writing the song "Empty Place". Bob has a very true country baritone voice that he uses to convey the feelings from all of his songs. He has been influenced by a vast array of artists, including George Strait, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Billy Joel, Little River Band, and many more. Between the 70s music and great Country music, Bob has a hybrid style of his own.
