Being around music all of his life, LeMarr “Mac Laren” Wallace was destined to be a artist of some sort. His mother was a rapper in her teenage years in a popular local female group called “Crush Connection” who had performed on many stages and every one in their town and the cities around knew their name. Born in Anderson, IN 1988 destiny had taken its place. Mac was always around a house that had a record player playing. His Grandmother and grandfather Loved old-school Funk, and Pop. There was never a day that he didn’t hear the voices of Marvin Gaye, James Brown, The Jackson 5, Rolls Royce, and any other of the widely known artists of the 60’s-80’s. So music was always in the veins of this young man. He would walk around picking up sticks trying to find things that he could hit to make a noise like a rock, a tree, or even a grill. Sometimes one could even catch him trying to spit his own lyrics without a beat though he wasn’t that good at it at the time. In middle school he decided to join the school band. His instrument of choice…the alto saxaphone. This was a big step for him, he figured if he was going to do anything with music that he would have to get a better understanding of the rhythm in the music. Joining the band put him a step ahead, it taught him how to keep a beat, and the different measures. Now he knew how to keep start and stop his rhythmic patterns and rhymes. Mac said he is "influenced by 'Tech N9ne' and all of "Strange Music', along with other artists like Ludacris, Eminem, Biggie, TI, and more" Now Mac Laren is contiuously writing music, and is about to release his first single “Addikted To Money” to commemorate the starting of his Label!
