Two exceptionally gifted soloists, David Lisker and Bela Horvath, coming from opposite sides of the world managed to forge a friendship at the Manhattan School of Music where they studied with Pinchas Zukerman and Patinka Kopec. After years and years of performing together as a duet and as quartet members, they finally decided to make it official and record an album. What makes the duet so unique is that they each have a very similar understanding as to what it means to produce sound, and a very similar approach to communicating music, while still managing to keep a keen sense of individuality. The goal of this album was to explore the incredible repertoire that exists for a duet which can be found in every period of music.
