简介

From MyDentonMusic.com: "'It Takes The World' is an inspired and moving album that will no doubt take over your iPod after the first listening." From The Denton Record Chronicle: "If you're a fan of Elton John, Ben Folds, Rufus Wainwright or Tori Amos - people who know how to take advantage of the piano's power and subtlety - you'd eat up the Andrew Tinker Band with a spoon. If you secretly dig Cole Porter and the Partridge Family, you'll enjoy this young musician's melodies." From TCU Image Magazine: "Their music aptly combines a rock 'n roll sound similar to the Ben Folds Five with the songwriting genius of (dare I say it) The Beatles." Andrew Tinker is a pop/rock songwriter and musician from Denton, TX. Sometimes raw, sometimes refined, his songs reflect a broad range of pop genres and playing styles characterized by his standout vocals and elegant arrangements. In spring 2009, Andrew independently released his first full length album, It Takes the World, and assembled an outstanding configuration of musicians for live performances and future recordings. He is currently involved in establishing his presence in the north Texas region, as well as mounting a grassroots campaign to promote his new album. Andrew, a native Texan, has performed and recorded with various local ensembles, and was a founding member of the Polyphonic Spree in 2000. He recorded french horn on the band’s first two albums, earning a UK silver record for The Beginning Stages of the Polyphonic Spree. He left the group in 2003 to attend the University of North Texas, graduating summa cum laude from the College of Music in December 2007. It was during his time at UNT that he met the musicians with whom he would eventually share the stage. Jeff Randall (Atlanta, GA) and Kelyn Crapp (Grapevine, TX) attended the UNT College of Music, studying drums and guitar, respectively, in the world renowned jazz studies program. They both graduated in 2008 and are active recording artists and performers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in addition to performing with Andrew. Julia Adamy (New York, NY) is currently studying bass in the jazz studies program and is scheduled to graduate in spring 2010. As Andrew states in “You Are My Angel,” the first track on his new album, It Takes the World, “To clean the body mind and soul, it takes a rhythm section with a groove...” These talented musicians are proud to be that rhythm section. It Takes the World is available for download right here at CD Baby and CDs will be available online in May.
