Damaged Goods (WINNER: BEST SHORT SCRIPT 2011 LOS ANGELES COMEDY FESTIVAL) once again pairs up the creative team at Jersey Flix productions with Ambient composer Michael Valentino. To prepare for the score, Valentino had the difficult task of creating a sound that blended Rich’s (played by Michael F. McGuirk) duel emotions into the main theme of the character.

“The beaten down protagonist is trying to convince himself that he is perfectly fine after a recent break-up, but in reality he can’t move on because his heart is broken. So I had to come up with the right melody, instrument, and tempo to reflect his progressive facade as well as the inner turmoil he endures as he fails to move on...and still remind the audience that this is a comedy! When I think about it now, Miceli really threw me a curve ball, but that’s what great directors do!” -Michael Valentino
