New album Mbvaira from Ephat Mujuru & The Spirit Of The People, out 27th August. A legendary name in Zimbabwe, Mujuru is the nation’s foremost mbira (thumb piano) luminary, and brought Shona music to the world. Alongside his group Spirit of the People, Mujuru would go to define the nation’s post-colonial arts culture. Mbavaira is being made available outside Zimbabwe for the first time thanks to Awesome Tapes From Africa. Focus track is 'Kuenda Mbire'.
