This EP was an experiment in limitation. Privet, in their 4-piece incarnation, spared no effect, pedal, or sonic trick. Düo is the opposite. Will Hagan, usually accustomed to covering a mix of vocals, guitar, percussion, and keyboards, was limited to singing and playing only rhodes/wurlitzer. For Düo, Sean Walsh, proud owner of an immense effects pedal board for his guitar, only sang and played baritione guitar (similar to a 6-string bass). In addition, only electronic beats, loops, and synth sounds were permitted.
