From the mid-1960's concept albums, in all their surreal, atmospheric presentations--through the 70's Prog-bands with their more electric sound--through the more recent underground offerings, we see epic stories being told through suites of songs. Bands like Pink Floyd, the Beatles, the Who, Yes, the Moody Blues, and even the Beach Boys (with Pet Sounds and their legendary originally-unreleased SMiLE) all found that an album doesn't have to be merely a collection of songs. This is a form of art that I wish to keep alive. All of the above listed bands (and many more) have inspired me in writing songs that are puzzle pieces to a bigger story. That story is The Ride of a Lifetime!
