简介
Albuquerque producer Diles and Denver rapper Molina have joined forces to release a Hip-Hop classic native to the Rocky Mountain / Southwest region. “Name & Town” explores identity, representation, culture, politics, manhood, meditation, sexuality, success, travel, social networking, and more. The backdrop is 13 banging beats that make you nod your head in agreement. In these critical times, “Name & Town” gives listeners a soundtrack to the grit and beauty of life, calling upon listeners to stand up, state your name proudly, and represent fully. “Name & Town” is Molina’s sophomore album release, a follow-up to Up Before the Sunrise with Mannequin Rituals, released in August 2008. Molina is a Hip-Hop emcee, a student and teacher of Hip-Hop music and culture, a spoken word artist, and playwright. Diles is a certified audio engineer, beat conductor, producer, and Hip-Hop emcee. Diles produces various artists in New Mexico and nationally. His latest release "Mood Static" features a collection of artists from New Mexico, New York and two tracks featuring Molina. Name & Town features guest spots by legendary Bay Area / Brooklyn producer DJ Icewater, who contributed cuts to four tracks on the album. Veteran Denver rapper Mane Rok and vocalist Venus Cruz of the Future Jazz Project add features from the Mile High City. National Slam Poetry Champion Hakim Be and sultry vocalist Sol round out the guest spots from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
