Glenn Williams is a multi-talented recording artist who is an arranger, writer, band leader, saxophonist and pianist. He has made his mark in the music world primarily being known for his work in jazz. He has been a professional musician for 30 years and has shared the stage with such greats as Donald Byrd, Grover Washington Jr., Ramsey Lewis, Buddy Rich, Shirley Scott, Pieces of a Dream, Tommy Grice, Walter Clark his father Tony Williams and his mentor Gerald Price Jr. just to name a few. Glenn received his initial instructions on the saxophone from Tony Williams after picking up the horn on his own and playing it like he had been playing for several years. He also became a self taught piano player before receiving formal lesson from Gerald Price Jr. Glenn Williams is also is a band leader in his own right. Some of his early playing was in a group called A Different Class which was a very talented jazz and contemporary jazz teenage group. A Different Class was highly successful during 1980-1984. Through his skills and creativity he finds the freedom to express himself using music as a voice and means of communication.
