ALEJON, known to the majority of his friends as A.J., was destined to become a legend since his birth. Born with a God given drive and a love for creative wordplay, it is of no surprise to any of his friends or family to find A.J. pursuing music with a passion only Christ could appreciate. Though he is a proud native of Houston, Texas, his animated delivery and affinity for creatively assembling similes and metaphors to create mind boggling punch lines makes him everything but your typical H-Town rapper. Rooted deeply in the origins of hip hop, A.J. has made himself a student of the game by studying great lyricists such as Rakim, Jadakiss, and Eminem to great performers such as Doug E. Fresh, Jay Z and Busta Rhymes. Throw in the fact that A.J.’s musical appreciation also pans out into a deep love for old school R&B, blues and gospel and what you have is one versatile artist. Known around the city for his great performances as a freestyle poet, A.J. has been honing his skills as a rapper under the direction of label mates PKT and Breallant. After going through a endless list of stage names and aliases, it is no surprise that Anthony has been given the only name suitable enough to describe what his destiny as an artist shall be- Alejon(pronounced a legend).
