简介
Head Games is a cd created at the Guitar Hangar Studio and produced by Rick Tedesco. The bulk of the instruments are played by Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts Graduate, Rori Shapiro. Rori composed all the songs for the album between 1995 and 2005. The 10 year span encompasses Rori's trials and tribulations through the turmoil of high school, college, first loves, ex-boyfriends, and the spectrum of everyday life that everyone can relate to. The tracks on the album range from the moody Head Games to the pop rock You're so Strange. Some songs are an echo and a tribute to heroes such as George Harrison which can be heard on the track Another Day. Other influences that creep into the songs are Led Zeplin (Touch My Soul), Oasis, The Beatles, Blur and Bob Dylan. The bass playing on the album has been compared that of her instructor while at school, Sir Paul McCartney, and her approach to song writting has been compared to that of Bob Dylan by luminary rocker Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople fame. Rori has also played some notable places such as: The Cavern Club, The Jacaranda and the Liverpool Live Series while in the UK. she has also played at The Towne Crier in Pawling NY, CBGBs, and has a string of upcoming appearances at New York's Bitter End. Rori's music is an experience, and one you should get a hold of this instant!
