Skip started in the summer of '05 in Aubagne, France. A city that was celebrating a 1,000 year anniversary. Dennis began the intro to the track there, realizing that you have to live in peace to make it a thousand years.. In the same summer Dennis spent the summer solstice in New Orleans with Porter, Batiste and Stoltz and later heard Russell Batiste at a live show, encouraging people to skip. Next, Dennis headed to Camp Casey, TX where Cindy Sheehan set up a vigil to express that War is not noble and there is no noble cause of war, as that vigil ended, Hurricane Katrina hit and Dennis showed up there days after the storm leveled most of New Orleans. Dennis is a combat veteran and long time musician who has used his music to express things that allow people to see a different side of what war does to the human spirit.
