简介
What can be said about Mista Kista a.k.a. Lilsmirk. A quiet loner from Oakland that grew up in the Murder Dubs out of a family of nine. Like his counterpart Sol-Jah, Mista Kista somehow avoided the street life mainly cause of the disciplinary tactics and love of his mother. Although he hasnt broken the law per say, the law was bent a few times in his younger days. Mista Kista always enjoyed music. First having his enjoyment with music when he was around 7 or 8 when he was giving a drum set. Although it was soon taking away because of the noise and racket coming from a little inexperience drum player, it left a permanent impression that stayed with him thru his lifeMaking beats. By his early teens, Mista Kista and his brother Outragus were being influenced by the pioneers of Rap. A film that was always played in the house was Beat Street. For those the know Beat Street in its own right is a hip-hop lovers Classic. First real Hip-Hop/Breaking movie with Afrika Bambaata, Grand Master Flash, Crazy Legs, Kool Moe Dee and other pioneers. Now came the start of a new generation of music which Mista Kista was at the beginning of learning which is evident in his songs The Rhyme Wrecker, Lyrical Beating, Undisputed Champion, With rapping now coming into play, it put Mista back into the realm of music. By mid teens, every so often Mista Kista and fam enjoyed the luxury of cable for short periods of time. What they watch--Videos. Along with the already famous rappers of that time such as Fat Boys, Run DMC, the more influential rappers that stuck would be , Eric B & Rakim (I Aint No Joke), EPMD, BDP, Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie and more. A time when lyrical content, verbal skills, and battle rapping skills were primary on almost all MCs mind. This inspired songs such as The Rhyme WreckerFor those lying to make a records, Lyrical BeatingVerbal a** whooping track, Undisputed Champion, and many freestyle session. Trying to preserve the origin while intertwining the next generation. After a few years of playing around freestyling, Mista Kista decided to invest in a computer. Using his past experience with computers he was able to quickly put together some simple, but slamming beats. Of course, with a beat has to come a rhyme. And soon freestyle sessions turn to actual organized songs. Soon songs like This That Club Thang - Banging joint made for the club goers obviously Gaming A** Hoes speaks for itself, Back Round Here exposing different dangers of Oakland life while at the same time trying to give a call for radio to listen to us here back to the Bay Area--In there own area.. and Undisputed Champion a special track cause it was one of his first beats to be made. With his first album MISTA KISTA A.K.A. LILSMIRK (The Ruffdraft ) beginning to slowly getting recognition, Mista Kista with his REBEL NATION fam began doing shows to expose these live wires on stage. After seeing the influential power of music, Mista Kista began using his music for more serious areas in life. The state of the world and all the evils involved became a passion that Mista Kista spits on tracks like Times Is So Crucial, The Revelation I Was Giving, and the new The Way They Jerk Us. Aggravated by the events of this world, Mista Kista felt compelled to again bring rap back to its essence by spitting mind motivating rhymes and serious content to spark the brains of this Hip/Hop generation.
