The Sydney based group came together in 2014 when Aaron Ikin and Chris Falkland met at a warehouse jam party on the Northern Beaches. After bonding over a mutual appreciation of soulful rock, blues and well-crafted songwriting, they started working on their own songs. A songwriting union that smooth and effortless followed. Aaron had been writing songs since 2011 and playing solo acoustic shows for a little while, often ad libbing lyrics and rewriting arrangements on the spot. After taking a break from music for a number of years, Chris was keen to get back to what he loved doing the most - jamming and making music. Chris was able to add a sense of structure and wholeness to Aaron's free-ranging ideas along with guitar melodies that complemented the songs perfectly. They've honed their craft preaching to strangers and seagulls in the Corso of Manly Beach and have made the natural progression to full band mode in some of Sydney's most prestigious venues. With the welcome addition of Ben Bryant on bass (ex Bec and Ben), the group started working together to transform old ideas, and to generate new ones, into a variety of rock and roll songs. 2016 saw the band sign to ZambranoZambrano agency and enter the studio Damien Gerard Sound Studios, to record their first single 'SHE'S A FOX'. What makes them a band you should love? Well...Rock and Roll is the life blood pumping the hearts. There's an ever stronger desire to show the punters a boogie that is fresh while still holding a candle to the legends of years gone by. Soulful melodies deliver unrestrained honesty in a rhythmic muscle car that purrs just right...but knows how to roar.
