简介
EXTREME LIFE, is a play on words. EXTREME: refers to the extreme difficulty of playing 5 concertos in one concert, and LIFE: refers both to the musical life of our protagonist, Horacio Franco, and because of its closeness to the word “live”, it also refers to the process used in recording this album: “live recording”. The disc includes 5 concertos of great technical and musical difficulty. The recently edited P 312 of Vivaldi was originally a violin concerto with the words “per flautino” crossed out in the manuscript; together with Mr. Franco´s bold and functional adaptations of the Sinfonias from Bach´s Cantatas BWV 29 and 35, and the Saradande from BWV 997 they form a “new” recorder concerto. In addition, this “new” piece is joined by the famous C Major concerto of Georg Philipp Telemann, and 2 celebrated concertos of Vivaldi: P 78, and Op. X no. 3, “Il Gardellino”, with a cadenza modeled on other Vivaldi concertos by Mr. Franco.
