By age 4, she was plunking out melodies on the family piano and singing solos in her home church. After years of participation in professional vocal and piano training, she decided to pursue a Bachelor of Music at Central College in Pella, IA. Under the direction of Professor Gabriel Espinosa, she studied performance, piano, voice, contemporary music styling and theory. Jill has won awards as a soloist, pianist, and composer. She is currently working as Music Team Coordinator and Worship Leader at Crossview Covenant Church in North Mankato, MN. Jill's musical areas of interest are praise and worship, singer/songwriter, jazz and Latin jazz. Jill has performed with many talented, well-respected musicians including Gabriel Espinosa, Hendrik Meurkens, Misha Tsiganov, Alex Acuna, Jovino Santos-Neto, Otmaro Ruiz, Tim Crumley, and Rusty Johnson. She appeared as a guest vocalist and clinician with Ashanti Latin Jazz for the Waldorf College Artist Series, as well as other music festivals and events.
