Sometimes the road to true love is bitter. Written on Valentine’s day, this song will resonate with those who have experienced unrequited love... but how far would you let it take you? Rising soul-pop artist, Michelle Raitzin is a singer-songwriter best known for being a member of “Team Blake” on NBC’s hit show, The Voice. Appearing on the show’s fourth season, Michelle was singled out by Blake Shelton as his #1 choice from the ‘blind auditions’ from upwards of 60,000 contestants. Her soulful voice weaves into a blend of pop music and jazz, delivering a sophisticated yet catchy mix of elements that Michelle sees as conspicuously absent in the current world of popular music. She continually focuses the importance of vocals and aims to present them as one of the main focal points in all of her music. Originally from Great Neck, New York, Michelle briefly attended Berklee College of Music before TV opportunities brought her to her current home of Los Angeles. Michelle has recently worked with engineers/producers Bill Malina (Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Justin Beber, Katy Perry) and Pro J (Christina Aguilera, Usher), as well as Blanck Records in the heart of Hollywood. Her vocal performances have been featured on European rock band Royal Hunt’s world tours and albums. In mid 2014, she traveled to Sweden to work with a writing group under Universal Music where she enjoyed writing and recording in-studio from morning until night. In her free time, Michelle enjoys combining her love of music and acting by performing in musicals such as "Into The Woods." Most recently, she performed in "Alanis Morissette - The Album Project: Jagged Little Pill" touring in LA and Phoenix. She also maintains a commitment to the performance grind by playing shows at Hotel Cafe, House of Blues, The Whiskey A Go Go and many more with her band. Michelle nurtures her strong passion for writing by making sure to spend as much time as she can with a pen and her keyboard. A tireless worker with a great deal of passion about what she does, Michelle puts her heart and soul into every show and every job. She is known for bringing the audience into her world with her astounding vocals, lyrics, and delivery. Her shows are even known to end in dance parties with everyone on their feet. Michelle loves working with other writers and creators to mix ideas and make magic, and is eager to take the next step in her career. Past accomplishments/credits: Michelle was the First Place Winner of WOR Radio’s ‘Shinning Star’ contest, winning a $10,000 grand prize for her alma mater Great Neck South High School.
