Bængt was my grandfather, a visual artist and a notorious eccentric. 1. Neptunus Dröm Neptunus Dröm ("Neptune's Dream") is the name of a sea shell-shaped pasta I found in a food store close to the music studio. 2. Tuula A piece inspired by the Finnish artist Tuula Närhinen's "Tuulipiirturit", in which she lets the wind create the work of art. 3. For Bappel This improvisation is a tribute to my very good friend Björn ”Bappel” Axelsson, a bass player from Vargön, Sweden, who unfortunately passed away at the age of 30, not long before this recording session. 4. Harts ("Rosin") 5. 1952 The inspiration for this piece comes from Earle Brown's "December 1952" and Jackson Pollock's "Convergence" (1952). 6. Marclay For this one I put a photo of one of the scores from Christian Marclay's "Graffiti Compositions" underneath and between the strings. The score in the photo is torn to pieces. 7. Kärlek mellan två par ("Love Between Two Couples") Jay Nein Sane, the engineer at EMS, made a beautiful dance performance in the sound room; a love story between a pair of shoes and a pair of headphones. 8. Plish, Plip! Plap!!! Plop… For this piece I used Christian Marclay's painting "Actions: Plish, Plip! Plap!!! Plop…(No. 2)" as a graphic score.
