Foldspace continues to mine the talents of the Midlands with this its first offering from Derby, UK's Kid Kombat. Previously rated for his remix and television work, Kid Kombat brings us two works of dancefloor beauty. The A side "Motel Cliche" is sensual and lush, a Deep House evocation of the soma-filled charms of GOL with both feet firmly on the dancefloor of the sound of what's next. "So beautiful", says the lyric, and indeed it is. "Creeping" brings a quieter and more measured beauty with it into the realm of Tech House, creeping along like its namesake. This track is an excellent early set option as it's infectious tone is difficult to resist.
