简介
"Virginia-based quartet Loud Night are keeping the energy of Motorhead alive through a filthy and grime covered lens. Debuting with their self-titled EP, the group stands as a presence that is quickly cementing itself as a necessity. Channeling punk aggression with blackened thrash, they’ve unearthed something wholly unique and almost dangerous to listen to in certain circumstances, given the high doses of energy that emit through your speakers. There’s never a moment of rest or a second of respite through the EP, preferring to continually pummel you with some of the most refreshing metal to come out this year. The opener, “Conventional Destruction”, serves as a powerful introduction as it nearly leaves you winded well before the first minute, breaking through with explosive distortion and rapid snare before the most intense and saliva-drenched growl storm past. The vocal performance is the true star-studded highlight of “Conventional Destruction,” existing in a plane between hardcore and black metal styling, allowing for pure anger while maintaining a slightly evil demeanor. My only complaint is that I wish the track were at least three times its length. Loud Night has successfully accomplished condensing raw, visceral zest into a timeframe that many bands would struggle to achieve. They are able to draw upon so many influences and play with them in such a way that it takes several listens to dissect each and every one of them, and even then it’s difficult to tap into everything this track has to offer. This is not some performance piece of grindcore or sprawling black metal overture, this is pure metal that is as disgusting as it is beautiful and you will cherish every second of it." -https://tenbucksforrecords.wordpress.com/2017/07/17/loud-night/
