This is my debut album WHOL-E (independently released in 2004), thanks for checking it out and hopefully downloading it because I'm kinda hungry, lol. This work contains a unique blend of positive Hip-Hop and Soul, some label it as Christian rap but its more than that. I wrote and produced the entire album so in my opinion it would only make sense to write this myself too. WHOL-E is great for everyone to listen to. It’s all positive! No parents need to worry about explicit lyrics and kids don’t have to hide what they listen to. WHOL-E has some songs that reflect my life as a Christian, but between me and you, I really don’t like religious stuff. Anyone can have religion that can be good or bad. Unfortunately in this world we see most of the bad stuff that makes people call each other hypocrites and other names. I don‘t like to focus on that. What I do like to focus on is relationship. If I didn’t believe that God was with me and not against me, constantly telling me “Trust In Me,” I guarantee I would have went crazy from all I went through. I didn’t call it quits because I knew that He died on the cross and rose again for me just so I can live. Even if you think He isn’t real, His story about how He died for me is what saved me. His word was real to me just like the very words you’re reading right now are real to you. Through His encouraging Word, my life was saved. Now, through WHOL-E, I am here to share an encouraging word with you. When you recognize “The Power of Music” and how it’s scientifically proven to be the most stimulating medium that affects the brain, you must also recognize that it is the driving force that creates change for good or bad. Some mo’ info: (I see you like to read a lot..) - I began singing lead songs in the choir when I was two years old. - For singing I’ve been compared to Marvin Gaye, Justin Timberlake, T-Pain (for harmony), Musiq Soulchild, and Tyrese. - For rapping I’ve been compared to Nas and The Cross Movement. - For beats (the crunk stuff) I‘ve been compared to Timbaland, KanYe West, and Swizz Beats. - WHOL-E has more of a sound mixture like Nas and Marvin Gaye. This album is calm compared to my recent releases. - My most recent songs feature me singing and rapping at the same time. - WHOL-E is not just a CD, it’s a genre!
