Evangelist Lita Colon, Gospel Singer and Songwriter began singing in the church at the early age of two years old, which at that time she was singing mostly with her siblings and in the church choir. For many years she has sung with various groups such as the C.V. Nichols Ensemble and Praise Choir of Prayer Tabernacle, under the direction of Letia Nichols, until the Lord called her out on her own for his majestic use. Evangelist Lita Colon began writing songs in 2005, and has released her first multi-single cd, entitled “Go On”. She has opened for legendary gospel performers such as Walter Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins, Oleta Adams, and Kim Burrell. She has also opened for recording gospel artist Jason Nelson and Amar Khalil. In addition to various singing engagements, writing, and recording, Evangelist Lita colon nurtures her three beautiful daughters, and is the proud and loving wife to Elder Samuel Houston, pastor of Evangelistical Prayer Ministries.
