In celebration of the traditional twelve days of Christmas, I have arranged and played twelve instrumental selections using twelve different instruments. These recordings were made on a four track recorder during the months of August and September, 1989. Most of the selections are familiar melodies, though I have chosen some lesser known but equally pleasing tunes, with an overall preference for the traditional carols which better lend themselves to the folk style of playing. As Christmas is a time for family, I have included here a recording of my father, Ted Russell, as Uncle Mose from the original CBC Radio broadcasts of the 1950's.
