About the Band: Chain of Chaos, a Seattle band with Chicago roots introduces the debut of the new album “Pandora’s Box”. Compositions are produced by Hi-C, written and studio-performed on keyboards by Mikey “Chain of Chaos” Lanka. Mikey started playing electric guitar emulating the likes of legend Jimi Hendrix in a high school garage band that he formed in Chicago during a time when disco, blues and jazz were all the rage, and Chicago House was still in its infancy. Unfortunately, the Chicago Police showed up to many practice sessions, and Mikey had to give up playing music in his parents’ garage with his friends. Turning to other creative interests, Mikey dabbed in paintings, sculpture, and electronics. He even built a crude synthesizer that made primitive sounds from a kit in high school electronics class. In college, Mikey majored in computer technology and also received a master’s degree. Mikey had focused on painting over the years, and his paintings found their way to many private collections. But his main love of music continues after a long hiatus. Today, Chain of Chaos delivers the pulsating beats and the electric guitar influenced futuristic rhythms that inspired Mikey from the early days of his garage band years. Songs: “Pandora’s Box”, is the first recorded album of Chain of Chaos. The album has a variety of songs that encompass instrumental synthesized sounds of sax, bass, guitar and electronic drum machines. There’s a little bit of big beat reggae in “Funkalicious”. Jazzy sax/ drum and bass in “Coastal Starlight Express”. Trip-hop/downbeat in “Pyro” and “Aurora Bridge”. Lots of funk and deep electric guitar in “Stargate”, and a selection of intense pulsating synth in songs like “Halcyon Addiction”, “Audio Fury”, and “Club Metropolis”. Style: Intense, soulful, moody, psychedelic, futuristic, hip and rhythmic.
