Review- Meka Nism- The Dance at the End of the World by Mark Kilmer "Meka Nism's newest EP is an example of what happens when artists come together and create something unique and engaging. The four track release is a showcase of the bands ability to take you somewhere you've never been. That's what The Dance At The End Of The World is, an artistic journey. If you fancy your music more on the side of different and daring then you will probably find plenty to like here. The EP starts out heavy with the track "Tyranny Reigns" and goes through a range of different styles before reaching its finale with the song "Rise". The vocals are brilliantly done and possibly showcase everything that can be accomplished with a set of vocal chords. From screams to growls to songs with clean vocals, Meka delivers mightily. I really enjoyed this release and think that those with open minds will too. While maybe not for everyone, Meka Nism has created a journey worth taking. An original piece of art that deserves to be heard. Give it a listen and let it take you somewhere." Metal Extravaganza by Stephanie Jensen "Next up was Meka Nism. Their sound is defined by crushing metal chords, melodic undertones, and female vocals. The band consists of several extreme influences collected in one band, truly something you’ve never heard before. Vocalist Meka’s voice carries those opera-like notes, and then she turns around and releases some gut-wrenching growls. The band’s image is fun but intimidating, you can see Meka’s bright red dreadlocks from miles away. The crowd response was some of the most positive out of all of the bands that played. This is definitely a band that you should pay attention to and check out if you haven’t!" "A fresh breath of air in a sea of copycats and formulaic bands. If your one of the people pleading for bands to take the road less traveled and try something different, Meka Nism might just be your cup of tea.."
