My music is made for the therapy of my listeners. I always wanted to be heard by those that have went through or are going through what I talk about in my music. I always felt that if music can change a person's mood I can help someone, and by me helping somebody that helps me. Helping people is my therapy. However my music gives me something to run to when I'm pressed about obstacles in my life. I understand now that everyone has had obstacles in thier lives, but it's how you deal with them that helps or hunt you. I want those that know me and those that don't know me to know that "I DIED IN 1999 AND I SURVIVED. I lost everything that meant something to me. A Divorce had taken a 17 year relationship. I lost all my cars, my Jewelry, my best friend was killed right in front of me, my attitude on top made 70% of my associates stop dealing with me, and most of all I lost my job at the barbershop which was my Bread and Butter, due to city domain. These loses brought about a major change in my life. I found God and yes my Higher Power granted me new life. In this new life I have a daughter. Which gives me more of a reason to live. So guess who's back? Demonta "Phuntane (fun-taine)" Smith with New Money, New Cars, New Wife, New Job, New Lifestyle, New Friends, New Jewels, and New Attitude. I'm doing all the things I love to do including Writing Books. I found my mother after 26 years of not knowing if she was living or dead. Which filled a major void in my life. However it's been 11 years since I've been in position, and it's time to let my plan unfold. My most Favorite quote I ever wrote is "Out of sight out of mind will get you left behind, but when you show up looking fine that mean you was out on the grind". God comes through when the time is right. I'm living proof.
