The music primarily written by Italian composers, may not be widely known to the general public. Some of those pieces were introduced to me in childhood, while other selections were discovered by me later in my career.

Franz Liszt is the only non-Italian composer whose music is represented on this recording. Since Liszt based his melodies on themes by the Italian composers, Gaspare Spontini and Gioachino Rossini, it is appropriate that the Hungarian composer's Impromptu should be chosen as the finale to this CD.
