Mark Washington was born in New Jersey, but was relocated to Albany, GA as a teen. NYSE began writing at the age of 15 and fell in love with the craft. He started entering talent shows and performing locally. However, that wasn't enough for this talented young crooner. NYSE started reaching out to some local producers and started creating and recording his own music. NYSE never waited for the music industry to come to him, he went and got it. He began purchasing studio equipment piece by piece until he had his very own place to create music and record new songs on a consistent basis. NYSE is a self-taught recording engineer, vocalist, entertainer and songwriter. As time went by, NYSE knew that he had to branch out and step outside his comfort zone in order to be heard. In 2009, NYSE reached out to a Music Producer in St. Louis that had a track that he knew he had to have. He headed to the Midwest and recorded "Make Me Say" feat. Mai Lee. The song received over 150,000 hits on Myspace and the Image Video had over 17,000 views on YouTube. Since then, he has performed all over Georgia and neighboring states gaining more fans and notoriety. Recently, NYSE answered an ad on Craigslist from an Independent Record Label called Meta4ever Musik & Entertainment looking for Singer/Songwriters to join their team. The CEO, David "Metaphor" Carr sent NYSE the track for what is now the hit single, "I Can Be"! NYSE wrote his verses and jumped in his car and drove to Atlanta to meet and record with Metaphor. There was an instant creative chemistry and the song was complete within hours. Just a few weeks later, NYSE is featured in WWS Magazine and will be performing at the Black History Month Parade in Atlanta, GA on February 26th. Metaphor, a music industry veteran took NYSE under his wing and NYSE is now the newest artist on the Meta4ever Musik roster and the rest is the future! Stay tuned!
