This is the first single off the debut album by Toronto band FIRExFIRE (pronounced Fire by Fire). This is a “muscular, synth-heavy power-pop band” with “plenty of experience cramming songs with hooks until they pinata-burst”. Their sound has been described a fight between decades, with influences like Tokyo Police Club, Depeche Mode, We Are Scientists, The Strokes and Phoenix. This experienced band hit the ground running by playing their first few exciting shows at some of their favourite local venues like Toronto’s El Mocambo, Horseshoe Tavern and Drake Hotel. The band's first ever gig was opening for Universal Records artist and Youtube sensation Atomic Tom, who had just come off playing The Jimmy Kimmel Show. FIRExFIRE's most recent high-profile gig was performing as part of the 2012 Canadian Music Week in Toronto. Previously, they also played to a packed house at the El Mocambo as part of 2011's NXNE festival. They are also slotted to be 2012's NXNE festival.

The band includes 3 former members of The Framework, whose debut album was distributed by Last Gang and reached top ten on Soundscan, Campus radio and MuchMoreMusic video charts. The album was produced by the band themselves, mixed by Dan Weston (Shad) and mastered by Harris Newman (Arcade Fire, Wintersleep).
