When you first realize you will not be having the perfect child that will grow up like others. You as a parent are devastated. You need to allow yourself to greave for the child you will never have. Except the fact you have a child that will learn but will learn differently. Logan did not speak at all till about the age of 4. Then it was just one word, never a sentence, but he always hummed. We found out early on he could spell anything.The first day he came home from kindergarten he was spelling astronaut and encyclopedia. I ask his music teacher Mrs. Kim Sutton if he could sit in on the after school chorus group that she had created with middle school children. Yeah it was not always a good day because she would have to stop in the middle of a song and work with the other children. That did not go over good with Logan. He thought everyone should know all the songs just as he did.

Perfectly. Though many days he would leave the room crying, Mrs. Sutton would not let me pull him out. She has worked with him for several years. And we are blessed to have her in our life. Today Logan sings with the beautiful voice that God has given him. We are blessed to live in a small community where they have all excepted Logan with loving arms. We hope you are blessed by his music and his gift from God. All children with Autism have a gift we just have to find out what it is.With his deep baritone voice , you do not expect that voice to come out of that small frame.He can hear a song once and play it. He loves his music history and can write songs out in manuscript.You can also play a key on any instrument and he can tell you what it is. Logan was blessed to have sang on The Grand Ole Opry with Josh Turner, You can see this on You Tube under Logan Blade.He just returned for Washington where he sand at the WWII Memorial, Gettysburg and The Chapel at Annapolis. He has also sang at The Parade of Nations in Norfolk Va. On the deck of The USS Intrepid, Walt Disney World And Center Court of The Atlanta Hawks Game. Logan has been involved with Breaking The Chains an Autism Event for the last two years.Logan enjoys playing the piano and listening to all kinds of Music.God is good an we are so blessed/..
