This album is dedicated to the "Saules meita" or "daughter of the Sun", the archetypal woman who plays a central role in Latvian folk verse, dainas. She is passionate and full of wonder. Her songs are about hope, desire, fear, and young love. Although the band expands its instrumentation to include more guitars and percussion, traditional instruments such as the kokle and giga are not overshadowed.
