Daniela was lulled to sleep as a child by listening to Colombian Salsas and Ballenato. Her soulful sound comes from this experience and her love of music to the tune of Bill Withers, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and beats of old school Hip-Hop ie. Tribe Called Quest. A teacher by day and a performer at heart, Daniela exudes BIG soul.   This debut EP was written to reflect on the moments when people want change in their lives. The kind of positive change that comes when your gut tells you it is time to reach new heights. Daniela believes there is a question that arises before any personal transformation occurs. It is a question of self doubt or self assurance. Am I going to fear the challenges that will comes with change or am I going to greet the challenges with strong hands and a willful heart?  The concept of this EP came when Daniela wrote the song "Baby Steps" two years ago. She believes any good change comes with a challenges that must be met step by small step. "Speak Loudly" is a reflection on the experience she has had as an educator witnessing the struggles in education and the recent closing of 50 public schools in Chicago. A teacher by day, Daniela knows that the strongest point from which lasting personal and societal transformation is through educating our youth.  Making your way towards positive change is never easy but, it becomes beautiful, exciting, and well worth the challenge through life and in love. Daniela hopes this album inspires a desire and confidence to see through the dreams you have for yourself no matter how big or small.
