San Francisco based "Strip Club" was formed in 2002 by singer/songcrafter Randy Cordero. Although Cordero is probably best known as the frontman of the wildly popular club phenomenon "Super Diamond", his distinctive voice and pop sensibilities are base for an original sound that combines alt. country and folk with cosmic, alternative rock and electronica. This unique sound is largely influenced by the likes of Wilco, Elliott Smith, David Bowie, Nick Drake and Air. The depth of Cordero's lush, expressive voice often draws comparisons to Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash. SC has recently begun touring and has performed at top venues across the country such as S.F.'s Bimbo's, NYC's Irving Plaza, Chicago's House of Blues, and Portland's Crystal Ballroom. Members of SC are seasoned performers at home on stage thanks to the huge success of "Super Diamond", which has a fanatical following that has made them one of the top draws at venues such as the House Of Blues, Irving Plaza, The Showbox, The Fillmore, The Ogden Theater, The Crystal Ballrom and countless others nationwide. Cordero's true passion, however, lies in the music of SC, which he is determined to take to the level of his other band and beyond. "Cold Comfort" is the new album by Strip Club, featuring 10 new original songs.
