Mischievous 3 is a Dutch/Norwegian music producer / DJ / one man band in Oslo, Norway. Being a DJ since turning 18, the Mischievous 3 sound has its origins in funky house and has increasingly become more and more influenced by jazz, funk, disco and soul. I had a great time hosting my shows at Radio Oslo and DJing around Oslo, but I wanted to make my own music. I want to make music that makes you dance - but also reflect a little upon what you see around you. Sense and nonsense are both wonderful things, and often more connected than you'd think. The sound of mischief is about bringing real instruments and organic sounds, tennis balls in particular, into the mix. The studio, which doubles as a bedroom and living room, includes a piano, keyboard, upright bass, bass guitar, trumpet and saxophone. The name Mischievous 3 was just one of those ideas that popped up out of nowhere. What would I call 3 jazzy looking guys wearing suits?
