After three years absorbed in writing for other artists, 'India' is Rod Ladgrove's bold, genre-bending statement for 2015. After spending two years writing pop under Universal's legendary Pelle Lidell, in 2014 Rod teamed up with brother and Sweat It Out producer Wongo to see what might come about. The result is 'India'. Catching the last wave of a cool summer, 'India' challenges genre. Mixing the deep yet heavy house beats of Wongo with the plaintive strum and Lennon-esque refrain of 'India', the track could be described (perhaps tongue in cheek) as a 'chill banger'. "It's one of those songs that started out with pop intentions. But it just had this heart to it'" says Ladgrove. "The track is all about losing something so deep, and the further down the track we went the more it meant to me. I'm in love with this track". Ladgrove is releasing his album 'Ladgrove I' on July 1. He promises the most eclectic album of the year and something truly special. 'India' is out on February 19 with Adelaide's Triple Double Records.
