I am an 18-year-old singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist living in Missoula, Montana, where I attend the University of Montana. "Good to be King" is a compilation of several of my most requested original songs. Most of the tracks on the album tend towards light rock and have been described as "a cross between Daughtry and James Taylor." However, I have tried to include a variety of styles in order to interest a wide range of audiences. Some songs veer more on the side of rock, while others may be classified as folk; "Somewhere West of Paradise" includes long acoustic guitar solos to interest fellow guitarists; "Back Down to Georgia" includes elements of country as well. I consider Rascal Flatts, John Denver, James Taylor, Andrius Mamontovas, and Daughtry to be strong influences on my music, but I would not say that any of these influences are particularly obvious in my original songs. Instead, these influences have combined with my own disposition and guitar experiments to create a very original style. Please listen to my songs, spread the word, and enjoy!
