NO BORDERS PRODUCED BY DJ 151 (AREA 151) 2016 After releasing his debut production album "The New Vintage" in March of 2015, DJ 151 (Junior Bali) quickly carried on with the momentum on continuing his dream beginning production on the follow up…. At first, he was contemplating calling it "The Next Vintage", but as the roster started filling up with Bay Area legends such as Rappin 4Tay, B-Legit, Celly Cel and Los Angles Rap Stars WC and Ras Kass, he quickly knew he had to go with a different name. With his 20 plus years in the Vancouver hip hop scene, reaching out to the veterans and up and coming stars of the 604 was easy. Madchild (BaxWar), Merkules (Stomp Down), Tre Nyce (Famolotti) Kanabliss and Hindu V are amongst some of the many talents that jumped on board quickly! Having this much talent from both countries DJ 151 came up with the title "NO BORDERS", bridging the gap through music.. This album is 12 tracks long and is a reflection of the smooth and hard evolving sounds of the West Coast era, DJ Mustard, Dr. Dre, Warren G etc… There were also some other great influences from many other significant regions of the culture! Bringing together over a dozen hip hop talents from across the west of the continent has never been done before!! From party jams to hard street anthems to pumped up game time motivators, this album has it ALL!!!! The artist combinations are just captivating. For instance… "Real Recognize Real" (RRR) features WC (Westside Connection), Madchild (BaxWar) and Kanabliss where the rappers preach on the fact that people are fronting what they own, brown nose to get ahead and just plain fakin' it! The beat is straight west coast heat that bumps just as hard as the MC's lyrics.. "Metallica" boasts the likes of Ras Kass, Merkules and Phixx Cravin' basically dropping some lyrically fuelled 16's to squash the flies and fakes… Fuelled by a beat inspired by Dead Prez's "Hip Hop" "Keep it Real" is blessed by the Bay Area godfather Rappin 4Tay, Kanabliss, Tre Nyce and smoothed out by the silky R&B vocals of Andreas.. This is such a chill track that and is perfect for that summertime cruise or bbq! You could say its the "Summertime in the LBC" of 2016. "We Just Wanna Party" welcomes Bay Area Boss Celly Cel, Vicky Chand and Benzosa (BTB) It is a west coast house party jam that has smooth baselines and silky keys. Celly Cel come nicely on this one shouting out the collabo between VanCity and The Bay. Enjoy!! "F**k You (We got them AR's)" comes hard with the one and only B-Legit (The Click/Sick wit it), Fiya Lion (Dancehall Reggae), Tee Loc and Profe-C………. It was a dream come true for 151 to have a track with this Bay Area ambassador. Back in 2000, B-Legit worked on projects for Let's Do This records, a label run by East Van legend Slick J (R.IP). 151 reached out to 'Bela' and Mr. Jones quickly responded and said he would love to a part of the project since he had a memorable connection to the movement in the early 2000's. The song will blow your brains!!!! "Rapture" is an anthem to say the least!…. Dynamic duo Trajikk and HyDro along with Kanabliss come hard on this epic heart pumping jam. It has so much character and is guaranteed to get the juices flowing before game time!!! This is beast is one of 151's favourites. This is just a small amount of the abundance of talent that fills "NO BORDERS". This monumental collaborative is complimented by other veterans such as Tajikk, HyDro, Queezi and Alex Cruz. Also a new wave of future stars like The Don Savvy and Benzosa. All production was done at AREA 151. It has quickly become a hub for artists, dj's and song writers to get together with 151 to create magic. In just one short year, he has expanded his music empire to near 20 artists with anywhere from 1 to 20 years experience in music. Expect much more from this Westcoast heavyweight in the near future…..
