Slán is a Dutch folkgroup playing Celtic music from Ireland, Scotland, England and Brittany. Beautiful ballads are varied with lively jigs, reels and hornpipes. Since 2010 the band has four members: Gabriele Kohl - guitar, whistles and vocals, Piet Kikkert - bassguitar, Wouter v/d Schoor - guitar, mandolin and banjo and Ronald Collenteur - high- and low whistles, bagpipes, blues harp and percussion Their first album "South West" was produced in 2007 and was very well received. The songs "Will ye go to Flanders?" and "Si Beag si Mor" where both voted third place in Marc Gunn's "Celtic Top 5". His Irish and Celtic Music Podcast has a world wide 30.000 to 40.000 downloads every episode.
