Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness. Psalm 115:1 We have the privilege of leading Peoples United- a worship team whose vision it is to be a diverse group of students who live and serve like Jesus. In our journey together over the past few years one thing has become apparent to us and our students- nothing is more satisfying than living for the glory of God! As we declare this truth in reference to students, we think of the life of King Josiah. A ruler from the age of 8, he had everything a teen could want: money, power, servants, etc. He had the "good life!" And yet a different passion consumed him. He had a passion for the house of God. A passion to see false worship eradicated and the true King lifted up. Most importantly he had a passion for the glory of God. It wasn't enough to see his own kingdom strengthen if the LORD wasn't honored. And so it is with us, we have dreams and ambitions. This CD has been a labor of love that is a prayer fulfilled for many of us. Still we remind each other- we'd lay down every desire to see Jesus more glorified. That's where we find our heart's desires fully realized. And if you are still seeking fulfillment, we would like to encourage you that it's in Christ alone you'll find what you are looking for. In closing, we have a lot of thank yous! First of all to the parents and families of our students, thank you for modeling Christ to them at a young age. Second to the leadership team at Peoples Church and all the pastors, leaders and mentors that have poured into us and our students, this CD wouldn’t be possible without you.
