The Flohio Project is a maxi single, produced by Florida native Smoove L. ( Frank Louis) and Ohio native Truf (Stanley Mcshan). Combining skills has proved to be a delightful endeavor. With Smoove L. being from Florida and Truf being from Ohio, "Flo-hio" is the perfect appellation for this project. "Duck Duck Goose" is the first of four songs to be released. What's so fascinating about this particular project is the fact that it all came about by accident. One Saturday, late February, Truf placed a call to Florida in hope of speaking with his uncle. Unbeknown to Truf, he'd dialed the wrong number. Instead of reaching his uncle, he'd dialed Smoove L's cell phone number. Coincidentally, Smoove L in a recording studio, working on a mix cd. After hearing the sultry sounds playing in the background, Truf made a few modest inquiries. Smoove L explained that the music in the background was one of his personal compositions, scheduled for release summer 2010. Truf explained that he was a musician as well, with an above average marketing background. After Truf sang Duck Duck Goose over the phone, Smoove L became intrigued. The two young men exchanged information and made arrangements to bring the song to life. Truf tracked his vocals in Cleveland, Ohio to a beat composed by Smoove L, then mailed them to Florida. Smoove L then went to work like a mad scientist. He wrote and tracked his verse. One week later, "Duck Duck Goose" was complete. Two men, whom had never met face to face, from different regions of the country, created a hit song by taking advantage of the internet technology that most of us take for granite. Within a few short weeks after completing the song, Truf and Smoove L. sold enough copies to promote on a national level. Reaching over nine million house holds via cable television, internet ads, radio interviews and press releases resulted in great sales and an enormous fan base.
